This article proposes to understand the experience of "increasing alienation" in children with ASD. As a type of support to understand the child, this article proposed a dialog that elicits communication arrangements, specifically a dialog that focuses on forming a profound relationship of being able to share and communicate with each other.Studies demonstrating the effectiveness of hydrosurgery for chronic wounds are extremely limited. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the efficacy of hydrosurgery compared with conventional debridement in chronic wounds, skin ulcers, and non-acute wounds. This PROSPERO-registered review was performed following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses statement. A systematic search was performed in PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane Library databases. Abstracts of all studies were screened independently by two reviewers. The bias of prospective randomised controlled studies was assessed using the Cochrane Collaboration's tool for assessing the risk of bias and RevMan 5.4 software, whereas the bias of retrospective comparative studies was evaluated using the Risk of Bias Assessment Tool for Non-randomised Studies. Two prospective randomised controlled trials, two retrospective comparative studies, and three prospective non-comparative studies were included. Hydrosurgery enabled rapid debridement. The Versajet Hydrosurgery System saved 8.87 minutes compared with the conventional methods. Similarly, the debridement quality was high with this system. The debridement number needed to achieve adequate wound beds was fewer in the hydrosurgery group than in the conventional group. These superiorities lead to subsequent success and cost-effectiveness. As there were only two prospective randomised controlled studies, and much information was missing, the risk of bias was unclear. This review confirmed that hydrosurgery is useful for the debridement of chronic wounds, considering the procedural speed and quality.Employing DNA nanostructures mimicking membrane proteins on artificial amphiphilic membranes have been widely developed to understand the structures and functions of the natural membrane systems. read more In this review, the recent developments in artificial systems constructed by amphiphilic membranes and DNA nanostructures are summarized. First, the preparations and properties of the amphipathic bilayer models are introduced. Second, the interactions are discussed between the membrane and the DNA nanostructures, as well as their coassembly behaviors. Next, the alternative systems related to membrane protein-mediated signal transmission, selective distribution, transmembrane channels, and membrane fusion are also introduced. Moreover, the constructions of membrane skeleton protein-mimicking DNA nanostructures are also highlighted.Formic acid (HCOOH) can be catalytically decomposed into H2 and CO2 and is a promising hydrogen storage material. As H2 production catalysts, Cu surfaces allow selective HCOOH decarboxylation; however, the on-surface HCOOH decomposition reaction pathway remains controversial. In this study, the temperature dependence of the HCOOH/Cu(111) adsorption structures is elucidated by scanning tunneling microscopy and non-contact atomic force microscopy, establishing the adsorbate chemical species using density functional theory. 2D HCOOH islands at 80 K, linear chains of HCOOH and monodentate formate at 150 K, chain-like assemblies of monodentate and bidentate formate at 200 K, and bidentate formate clusters at 300 K are observed. At each temperature, the adsorbates experience attractive interactions among themselves. Such aggregation stabilizes them against desorption and decomposition. Thus, accurate evaluation of intermolecular interactions is essential to understand catalytic reactivity.Multidrug resistance (MDR) is one of the biggest obstacles in cancer chemotherapy. Here, a remarkable reversal of MDR in breast cancer through the synergistic effects of bioactive hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (HAPNs) and doxorubicin (DOX) is shown. DOX loaded HAPNs (DHAPNs) exhibit a 150-fold reduction in IC50 compared with free DOX for human MDR breast cancer MCF-7/ADR cells, and lead to almost complete inhibition of tumor growth in vivo without obvious side effects of free DOX. This high efficacy and specificity could be attributed to multiple action mechanisms of HAPNs. In addition to acting as the conventional nanocarriers to facilitate the cellular uptake and retention of DOX in MCF-7/ADR cells, more importantly, drug-free HAPNs themselves are able to prevent drug being pumped out of MDR cells through targeting mitochondria to induce mitochondrial damage and inhibit ATP production and to trigger sustained mitochondrial calcium overload and apoptosis in MDR cancer cells while not affecting normal cells. The results demonstrate that this simple but versatile bioactive nanoparticle provides a practical approach to effectively overcome MDR.Ecdysteroids are of interest as potential sport performance enhancers, due to their anabolic effects. The current study aimed to analyze levels of the most abundant ecdysteroid, ecdysterone (20-hydroxyecdysone, 20-OHE) in easily available dietary supplements, and, outline an analytical strategy for its detection, and that, of its metabolites, (1) following administration of pure 20-OHE to uPA(+/+)-SCID mice with humanized liver, (2) in a human volunteer after ingestion of two supplements, one with a relatively low, and the other a high, concentration of 20-OHE, and, (3) to estimate the prevalence of use of 20-OHE in elite athletes (n = 1000). Of the 16 supplements tested, only five showed detectable levels of 20-OHE, with concentrations ranging from undetectable up to 2.3 mg per capsule. Urine of uPA(+/+)-SCID urine showed the presence of 20-OHE and its metabolite, 14 deoxy ecdysterone, within 24 hours (hr) of ingestion. In humans, both the parent and the metabolite were detectable within 2 to 5 hr of ingestion, with the metabolite being detectable for longer than the parent. After ingestion of a low dose supplement, the parent and metabolite were detectable for 70 and 48 hr, while following the higher dose it was 96 and 48 hr, respectively. Analysis of urines from athletes (n = 1000) confirmed four positives for 20-OHE, suggesting a prevalence of use of 0.4%. Prevalence of its use by elite athletes was relatively low, however, this needs to be confirmed in other populations, and with other related ecdysteroids.
