sphaericus JG-A12 cells. An outlook on the application of the impedance biochips for high-throughput drug screening, e.g., against multi-drug-resistant Gram-positive bacteria, is given. The species Dracaena and Sansevieria, that are well-known for different uses in traditional medicines and as indoor ornamental plants with air purifying property, are rich sources of bioactive secondary metabolites. In fact, a wide variety of phytochemical constituents have been isolated so far from about seventeen species. This paper has reviewed the literature of about 180 steroidal saponins, isolated from Dracaena and Sansevieria species, as a basis for further studies. Saponins are among the most characteristic metabolites isolated from the two genera. They show a great variety in structural motifs and a wide range of biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-proliferative effects and, in most case, remarkable cytotoxic properties.Multiple myeloma is the second most common hematologic malignancy. Current treatment strategies are mainly based on immunomodulatory drugs, proteasome inhibitors or combination of both. Novel agents added to these backbone treatments represent a promising strategy in treatment of newly diagnosed as well as relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma patients. In this respect, the incorporation of monoclonal antibodies into standard-of-care regimens markedly improved prognosis of myeloma patients during the last years. More specifically, monoclonal anti-CD38 antibodies, daratumumab and isatuximab, have been implemented into treatment strategies from first-line treatment to refractory disease. In addition, the monoclonal anti-SLAM-F7 antibody elotuzumab in combination with immunomodulatory drugs has improved the clinical outcomes of patients with relapsed/refractory disease. Belantamab mafodotin is the first approved antibody drug conjugate directed against B cell maturation antigen and is currently used as a monotherapy for patients with advanced disease. This review focuses on clinical efficacy and safety of monoclonal antibodies as well as antibody drug conjugates in multiple myeloma.Although a large body of research has indicated that parent-adolescent communication is a crucial protective factor for adolescent Internet addiction, the mediating and moderating mechanisms underlying this relationship remain unclear. To address this research gap, this study, based on social control theory and the organism-environment interaction model, was designed to test whether school engagement mediated the relationship between parent-adolescent communication and adolescent Internet addiction and whether this mediating effect was moderated by rejection sensitivity. A sample of 1006 adolescents (Meanage = 13.16 years, SD = 0.67) anonymously completed the questionnaires. The results showed that the positive association between parent-adolescent communication and adolescent Internet addiction was mediated by school engagement. Moreover, this indirect link was stronger among adolescents with high rejection sensitivity than those with low rejection sensitivity. These findings highlighted school engagement as a potential mechanism linking parent-adolescent communication to adolescent Internet addiction, with high rejection sensitivity being an important risk factor amplifying this indirect effect. Intervention programs aimed at reducing Internet addiction among adolescents might benefit from the current research. In 'Tsuda' turnip, the swollen root peel accumulates anthocyanin pigments in a light-dependent manner, but the mechanism is unclear. Here, mutant g120w which accumulated extremely low levels of anthocyanin after light exposure was identified. Segregation analysis showed that the anthocyanin-deficient phenotype was controlled by a single recessive gene. By using bulked-segregant analysis sequencing and CAPS marker-based genetic mapping analyses, a 21.6-kb region on chromosome A07 was mapped, in which a calcium-binding EF hand family protein named BrLETM2 was identified as the causal gene. RNA sequencing analysis showed that differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between wild type and g120w in light-exposed swollen root peels were enriched in anthocyanin biosynthetic process and reactive oxygen species (ROS) biosynthetic process GO term. Furthermore, nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) staining showed that the ROS level decreased in g120w mutant. Anthocyanins induced by UV-A were abolished by the pre-treatment of seedlings with DPI (an inhibitor of nicotinamide adenine nucleoside phosphorylase (NADPH) oxidase) and decreased in g120w mutant. These results indicate that BrLETM2 modulates ROS signaling to promote anthocyanin accumulation in turnip under UV-A and provides new insight into the mechanism of how ROS and light regulate anthocyanin production.Rhododendronsimsii is one of the top ten famous flowers in China. Due to its historical value and high aesthetic, it is widely popular among Chinese people. Various colors are important breeding objectives in Rhododendron L. The understanding of the molecular mechanism of flower color formation can provide a theoretical basis for the improvement of flower color in Rhododendron L. To generate the R.simsii transcriptome, PacBio sequencing technology has been used. A total of 833,137 full-length non-chimeric reads were obtained and 726,846 high-quality full-length transcripts were found. Moreover, 40,556 total open reading frames were obtained; of which 36,018 were complete. In gene annotation analyses, 39,411, 18,565, 16,102 and 17,450 transcriptions were allocated to GO, Nr, KEGG and COG databases, correspondingly. To identify long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), we utilized four computational methods associated with Protein families (Pfam), Cooperative Data Classification (CPC), Coding Assessing Potential Tool (CPAT) and Coding Non Coding Index (CNCI) databases and observed 6170, 2265, 4084 and 1240 lncRNAs, respectively. Based on the results, most genes were enriched in the flavonoid biosynthetic pathway. The eight key genes on the anthocyanin biosynthetic pathway were further selected and analyzed by qRT-PCR. The F3'H and ANS showed an upward trend in the developmental stages of R. simsii. The highest expression of F3'5'H and FLS in the petal color formation of R. simsii was observed. This research provided a huge number of full-length transcripts, which will help to proceed genetic analyses of R.simsii. find more native, which is a semi-deciduous shrub.
