The relationships found show the need for educational and preventive intervention aimed at parents and students that will allow them to know and effectively deal with possible problems associated with the consumption of addictive substances.This study investigated the toughening effect of in situ polytriazoleketone (PTK) and polytriazolesulfone (PTS) toughening agent when applied to various epoxy resins, such as diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA), diglycidyl ether of bisphenol F (DGEBF), and triglycidyl p-aminophenol (TGAP) with 3,3'-diaminodiphenylsulfone as a curing agent. The fracture toughness, tensile properties, and thermal properties of the prepared epoxy samples were evaluated and compared. When PTK was mixed with DGEBF, the fracture toughness was improved by 27% with 8.6% increased tensile strength compared to the untoughened DGEBF. When PTS was mixed with TGAP, the fracture toughness was improved by 51% without decreasing tensile properties compared to the untoughened TGAP. However, when PTK or PTS was mixed with other epoxy resins, the fracture toughness decreased or improved with decreasing tensile properties. This is attributed to the poor miscibility between the solid-state monomer of PTK (4,4'-bis(propynyloxy)benzophenone (PBP)) or PTS (4,4'-sulfonylbis(propynyloxy)benzene (SPB)) and the epoxy resin, resulting in the polymerization of low molecular weight PTK or PTS in epoxy resin. Therefore, the toughening effect of PTK or PTS can be maximized by the appropriate selection of epoxy resin based on the miscibility between PBP or SPB and the resin. CP127374 The aim of our study was to evaluate the seasonality and the potential effects of different meteorological factors on the detection rate of the non-SARS coronavirus detection by PCR. We performed a retrospective analysis of 12,763 respiratory tract sample results (288 positive and 12,475 negative) for non-SARS, non-MERS coronaviruses (NL63, 229E, OC43, HKU1). The effect of seven single weather factors on the coronavirus detection rate was fitted in a logistic regression model with and without adjusting for other weather factors. We therefore examined factors associated with family planning uptake after giving birth in two regions of Tanzania. The survey, which collected information beyond that collected in the Tanzania Demographic Health Survey, used a two-stage, stratified-cluster sampling design, conducted in April 2016 in Mara and Kagera regions in Tanzania. A total of 1184 women aged 15-49 years, who had given birth less than two years prior to the survey were included. Logistic regression mixed effect modelling was used to examine factors associated with family planning uptake. A total of 393 (33.2%) women used family planning methods and 929 (79%) required prior approval from their partners. Participation of men in utilization of maternal health care was low, where 680 (57.8%) women responded that their partners accompanied them to at least one antenatal care (ANC) counselling visit and tural norms in Tanzania and beyond.Cellulose nanofibrils (CNFs) were exposed to the same levels of potassium chloride (KCl) and sodium chloride (NaCl) before being subjected to spray drying. The effect of NaCl and KCl on the size of atomized droplets and the hydrogen bond retardation between CNFs was investigated by characterizing product morphology, particle size distribution, dispersion stability in aqueous system, and surface chemistry. The results showed that the CNF suspensions treated with KCl could be atomized into smaller droplets during spray drying, and then CNF powder with smaller sizes could be obtained. As the agglomeration was less, and the CNF with KCl addition had good dispersion stability after redispersion compared with CNF treated by NaCl. Therefore, KCl treatment was an effective method to reduce the agglomeration of CNF during spray drying.For the prevention of infectious diseases, knowledge about transmission routes is essential. In addition to respiratory, fecal-oral, and sexual transmission, the transfer of pathogens via surfaces plays a vital role for human pathogenic infections-especially nosocomial pathogens. Therefore, information about the survival of pathogens on surfaces can have direct implications on clinical measures, including hygiene guidelines and disinfection strategies. In this review, we reviewed the existing literature regarding viral, bacterial, and fungal persistence on inanimate surfaces. In particular, the current knowledge of the survival time and conditions of clinically relevant pathogens is summarized. While many pathogens persist only for hours, common nosocomial pathogens can survive for days to weeks under laboratory conditions and thereby potentially form a continuous source of transmission if no adequate inactivation procedures are performed.The presented research aims to clarify the specific effect of the individual components of concrete with Portland cement CEM I 42.5 R on the volume changes of concrete. The effect of the filler component was evaluated from the point of view of the composition and type of aggregate (crushed versus mined) and from the point of view of the mineralogical composition of the aggregate. Concrete formulas with a maximum aggregate grain size of 16 and 22 mm were assessed. The effect of the binder component on the shrinkage of the concrete was monitored on the concrete mixtures produced using the same aggregate and maintaining the same strength class of concrete, C 45/55. The effect of the addition of finely ground limestone, finely ground granulated blast furnace slag and coal high-temperature fly ash was monitored. It was found that the maximum aggregate grain and the type of grading curve do not have a significant effect on the volume changes of concrete. Concretes with mined aggregates showed lower shrinkage than concretes with crushed aggregates.
