d, and most infections were acquired in the community. HCWs' adherence to mitigation measures outside of the workplace is vital to curb the current pandemic and decrease nosocomial transmission risk.Bilateral choanal atresia (CA) is a rare congenital malformation frequently associated with other anomalies. CHARGE association is closely linked to bilateral CA. The aim of this study was to describe the outcomes of the endoscopic repair in bilateral CA, and to assess the role of postoperative nasal stenting in two cohorts of CHARGE-associated and non-syndromic CA. Thirty-nine children were retrospectively analyzed (16 patients had CHARGE-associated CA). The rate of postoperative neochoanal restenosis was 31.3% in the CHARGE population, and 47.8% in the non-syndromic CA cohort. Data on postoperative synechiae and granulation tissue formation, need for endonasal toilette and dilation procedures, and number of procedures per patient were presented. Stent positioning led to a higher number of postoperative dilation procedures per patient in the non-syndromic cohort (p = 0.018), and to a higher rate of restenosis both in the CHARGE-associated, and non-syndromic CA populations. Children with CHARGE-associated and non-syndromic bilateral CA benefitted from endonasal endoscopic CA correction. The postoperative application of an endonasal stent should be carefully evaluated. This study aimed to investigate prolonged screen time and using electronic devices before sleep and their associated factors in elderly people in Shaanxi province of China. We conducted a cross-sectional study among 2647 elderly participants aged 60-88 years. Data were collected through questionnaires. Demographic characteristics, screen time, using electronic devices before sleep, health status, lifestyles, sleep quality, and other associated factors were investigated. Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the associated factors of screen time and using electronic devices before sleep. The crude odds ratio (cOR) and adjusted odds ratio (aOR) and their 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated. A total of 1784 subjects completed the questionnaire. There were 6.89% participants with prolonged screen time and 13.45% using electronic devices before sleep frequently. Prolonged screen time was associated with personal monthly income (aOR = 1.205, p = 0.001), number of household residents (aOR = 0.860, p = 0.010), rural residents (aOR = 0.617, p = 0.038), and regular drinkers (aOR = 2.889, p less then 0.001). Using electronic devices before sleep was associated with being female (aOR = 0.657, p = 0.007), family monthly income (aOR = 0.866, p = 0.002), being an occasional drinker (aOR = 1.891, p = 0.005), and self-reported sleep quality (aOR = 1.593, p = 0.007). In conclusion, several factors related to screen time or using electronic devices before sleep were identified. Only being a drinker was a common associated factor for both screen time and using electronic devices before sleep.Analysis of the fetal heart rate during pregnancy is essential for monitoring the proper development of the fetus. Current fetal heart monitoring techniques lack the accuracy in fetal heart rate monitoring and features acquisition, resulting in diagnostic medical issues. The challenge lies in the extraction of the fetal ECG from the mother ECG during pregnancy. This approach has the advantage of being a reliable and non-invasive technique. In the present paper, a wavelet/multiwavelet method is proposed to perfectly extract the fetal ECG parameters from the abdominal mother ECG. In a first step, due to the wavelet/mutiwavelet processing, a denoising procedure is applied to separate the noised parts from the denoised ones. The denoised signal is assumed to be a mixture of both the MECG and the FECG. One of the well-known measures of accuracy in information processing is the concept of entropy. In the present work, a wavelet/multiwavelet Shannon-type entropy is constructed and applied to evaluate the order/disorder of the extracted FECG signal. The experimental results apply to a recent class of Clifford wavelets constructed in Arfaoui, et al. J. Math. Imaging Vis. 2020, 62, 73-97, and Arfaoui, et al.Acta Appl. Math.2020, 170, 1-35.. Rigosertib molecular weight Additionally, classical Haar-Faber-Schauder wavelets are applied for the purpose of comparison. Two main well-known databases have been applied, the DAISY database and the CinC Challenge 2013 database. The achieved accuracy over the test databases resulted in Se=100%, PPV=100% for FECG extraction and peak detection. The emerging demands for miniaturization of electronics has driven the research into various nanomaterials. Lead-free Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 (BNT) ferroelectric nanomaterials have drawn great interest owing to their superiorities of large remanent polarization, high pyroelectric and piezoelectric coefficients, unique photovoltaic performance and excellent dielectric properties. As attractive multifunctional ferroelectrics, BNT nanomaterials are widely utilized in various fields, such as energy harvest, energy storage, catalysis as well as sensing. The growing desire for precisely controlling the properties of BNT nanomaterials has led to significant advancements in material design and preparation approaches. BNT ferroelectric nanomaterials exhibit significant potential in fabrication of electronic devices and degradation of waste water, which pushes forward the advancement of the Internet of things and sustainable human development. This article presents an overview of research progresses of BNT ferroelectric nanomaterials, including growth, properties and applications. In addition, future prospects are discussed.Dipropyl phthalate (DPrP) coexists with cadmium as cocontaminants in environmental media. A coculture system including the DPrP-degrading bacterium Glutamicibacter nicotianae ZM05 and the nondegrading bacterium Acinetobacter tandoii ZM06 was artificially established to degrade DPrP under Cd(II) stress. Strain ZM06 relieved the pressure of cadmium on strain ZM05 and accelerated DPrP degradation in the following three ways first, strain ZM06 adsorbed Cd(II) on the cell surface (as observed by scanning electron microscopy) to decrease the concentration of Cd(II) in the coculture system; second, the downstream metabolites of ZM05 were utilized by strain ZM06 to reduce metabolite inhibition; and third, strain ZM06 supplied amino acids and fatty acids to strain ZM05 to relieve stress during DPrP degradation, which was demonstrated by comparative transcriptomic analysis. This study provides an elementary understanding of how microbial consortia improve the degradation efficiency of organic pollutants under heavy metals contamination.
