Carbon based two-dimensional (2D) nanostructures have exceptional mechanical properties. Analysis of crack pathway in 2D graphenic materials allows for developing crack arrestors. Herein, we serve Molecular Dynamics (MD) to simulate the fracture behavior of 2D graphene-like boron-carbide (BC3) by manipulating the crack length (10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 Å) and the crack arrestor (circular and square). Young's modulus, the failure stress, failure strain, and fracture toughness of theoretically born BC3 nanosheets were then captured. The crack arrestors were studied in three different states (constant position, as well as 4 and 6 Å from crack tips). Three factors, i.e. the stress, crack length, and geometry of nanosheets determined crack pathway considering zigzag and armchair directions. Overall, circular arrestors more severely affected the fracture toughness, failure stress and failure strain with respect to square ones; while Young's modulus variation followed an inverse trend. Moreover, the highest Young's modulus was detected for cracks having length of 10 Å. Fracture toughness increased upon increasing the crack length. In conclusion, the crack arrestors were promising for tuning the mechanical properties of 2D nanosheets. Thus, this work aimed to study postpartum women's mental health in Argentina during mandatory social isolation. A cross-sectional survey was conducted from May to July 2020, which included five validated questionnaires to assess postpartum depression (Postpartum Depression Screening Scale-Short Form), insomnia (Insomnia Severity Index), memory complaints (Memory Complaint Scale), metacognition (Brief Metamemory and Metaconcentration Scale), and breastfeeding self-efficacy (Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form). Sociodemographic variables, social isolation characteristics, and breastfeeding practices were also collected. This study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Statistical analysis included zero-order correlations, multiple logistic regressions, and a set of structural equation models (SEM) to test direct and indirect effectsation was also aggravated by reproductive factors, such as late postpartum, multiparity, breastfeeding frequency, and non-exclusive breastfeeding. We sought to describe an unintended consequence of central fetal monitoring technology. The research was conducted as an Institutional Ethnography. Data generated from interviews, focus groups, and observations were analysed to generate an account of midwives' experiences with the central fetal monitoring system. The birthing unit of one Australian maternity service with a central fetal monitoring system. 34 midwives and midwifery students who worked with the central fetal monitoring system. Midwives described a disruptive social event they named being K2ed. Clinicians responded to perceived cardiotocograph abnormalities by entering the birth room despite the midwife not having requested assistance. Being K2ed disrupted midwives' clinical work and generated anxiety. Clinical communication was undermined, and midwives altered their clinical practice. Midwives performed additional documentation work to attempt to avoid being K2ed. This is the first report of an unintended consequence relating to central fetal monitoring, demonstrating how central fetal monitoring technology potentially undermines safety by impacting on clinical and relational processes and outcomes in maternity care. Current evidence does not support implementation or ongoing use of central fetal monitoring systems. This is a case report of a 5-years-old boy with abdominal pain and vomiting. He had an ileocolic intussusception 2days back, and was successfully managed by hydrostatic reduction and discharged. On ultrasonography, an intussusception was identified in the ileocaecal region. Hydrostatic reduction failed this time and laparotomy was performed. On laparotomy, there was complete intussusception of the appendix with normal ileocaecal junction. Appendectomy was performed. Post-operative period was uneventful. Appendiceal intussusceptions are mostly diagnosed intra-operatively. The clinical features may mimic various other acute and chronic abdominal conditions.
