Occupational contact with blood and body fluids poses a significant risk to healthcare workers. The aim of this systematic review is to investigate the epidemiology and risk factors affecting needlestick injuries (NSI) in healthcare personnel in Iran. In March 2020, researchers studied six international databases such as Medline/PubMed, ProQuest, ISI/WOS, Scopus, Embase, and Google Scholar for English papers and two Iranian databases (MagIran and SID) for Persian papers. Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal Checklist was used to assess quality of studies. The method of reporting was based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) statement. A total of 43 articles were included in the analysis. Results showed that females (OR = 1.30, 95 % CI 1.06-1.58, P value = 0.009), younger age (OR = 2.75, 95 % CI 2.27-3.33, P value < 0.001, rotated shift workers (OR = 2.16, 95 % CI 1.47-3.15, P value < 0.001), not attending training courses (OR = 1.30, 95 % CI 1.07-1.56, P value = 0.006), working in the surgery ward (OR = 1.83, 95 % CI 1.33-2.50, P value < 0.001), less work experience (OR = 1.43, 95 % CI 1.04-1.95, P value = 0.025) apposed a greater risk factors for NSI among healthcare workers. Based on the results of this review, factors such as young age, less work experience, work shift, and female gender are considered as strong risk factors for NSI injury in Iran. Preventive measures including education programs can reduce the burden of NSI among healthcare personnel.Based on the results of this review, factors such as young age, less work experience, work shift, and female gender are considered as strong risk factors for NSI injury in Iran. In total, 227 shift workers took part in the study. Using the methods of psychophysiological and psychological testing, we studied the following parameters of the psychological adaptation of shift personnel regulatory processes, subjective control, socio-psychological adaptation and personality characteristics. As a result of the study, some differences were found in the parameters of the psychological adaptation of shift workers of various industries. In conclusion, the parameters of socio-psychological adaptation as a criterion of psychological adaptation for the workers of the southern shift are much higher than for the shift workers in the Far North. The shift workers with a favorable functional status have a higher dominance rate. The workers in the Far North also have a higher level of self-regulation. Nurses are often exposed to workplace bullying, which leads to their burnout and leaving the profession. However, the processes by which workplace bullying leads to such outcomes are not clear. This study investigates how work-related and personal-related bullying affect nurses' occupational commitment by integrating emotional labour and emotional exhaustion. This study employs a cross-sectional design. The model was tested using structural equation modelling with a sample of 245 Chinese nurses. Work-related bullying is positively related to both surface acting and deep acting, and a negative relationship exists between deep acting and emotional exhaustion. Personal-related bullying is not related to either surface acting or deep acting, but is positively related to emotional exhaustion. Emotional exhaustion is negatively related to affective occupational commitment. This study implies that bullying behaviours should be distinguished with work-related bullying and personal-related bullying, and emotional regulation strategies are meaningful in managing the negative impact of work-related bullying. Policymakers and managers need to distinguish two types of bullying behaviour and manage them accordingly with different strategies. For nursing schools it is important to prepare nursing students with not only professional skills but also social competence and emotional management skills.Policymakers and managers need to distinguish two types of bullying behaviour and manage them accordingly with different strategies. A self-report questionnaire was administered to identify possible SB. The Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) questionnaire was administered to evaluate psychological factors, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Questionnaire Index (PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality. Results Possible SB was more frequently observed in females than in males. The mean DASS-21 score in those with possible SB was significantly higher than in those without SB (p less then 0.001). The mean PSQI (total) score was also significantly higher in those with possible SB than in those without SB (5.0 ± 2.4) (p= 0.007).ConclusionThe findings revealed that psychological factors and sleep quality significantly affected the prevalence of self-reported SB among dental students.Sixteen million people in the United States are unpaid caregivers to people with Alzheimer's or dementia. click here Although caregiver investment is associated with personal and relational benefits, there are also emotional, mental, relational, and physical costs. This study explores online well-being advice for nonprofessional caregivers of people with Alzheimer's and dementia, resulting in 332 online resources that offer informational support for nonprofessional caregivers. Although competent communication directly impacts the well-being of caregiving relationships, only 39 of these texts offered advice related to communication strategies. Thematic analysis of these 39 sources resulted in 1,024 discrete pieces of caregiver advice related to three overarching themes Daily Routine, Care Recipient Well-Being, and Caregiver Self-Care. We examine the Caregiver Self-Care theme to understand informational support available to caregivers. These self-care advice themes reveal a need for intentional focus on the home health quality of nonprofessional caregivers about ways that communication impacts their everyday lives.
